As a recording engineer and producer I have worked across the country. I have my own studio built around a 32 channel SoundTracs Topaz console. I have a great selection of outboard by Focusrite, XIX, Drawmer and Lexicon. I also have an 8 track ½” reel-to-reel I can use for mastering, processing signals or location recording. Not to mention all the usual benefits of digital processing with emulations and plugins by SSL, API, Pultec, Neve, Urei, Manley and so much more.

I work in house as a producer at Artifex Studios in Derby - a brand new arts centre catering for dance, film, photography and music. I have advised on the construction and specifications for the music side of this new project from the early days of it’s inception. It’s a great hub for artists in Derby to network and get creative on all levels.
I also work in house as an engineer at Aerial Studios in Wales – a large residential recording complex with two fully equipped professional recording studios and a post-production suite. The site has great facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, showers, toilets, games/lounge area and beds for up to 12 people.
Studio 1 has a large, spacious control room, two live rooms, and is centered around a Calrec M-Series analogue console and Pro Tools 9. There's impressive selection of vintage outboard including Tube Tech, Focusrite, Urei, Lexicon, Drawmer, Neve, TL Audio, a 24 track 2” tape machine and even an actual reverb chamber – you don’t get many of those, that’s for sure!
Studio 2 is built around a Mackie D8B console and Cubase 5 - again with an impressive selection of outboard. A great sounding live room, great for live recording.
Both studios have access to a large variety of high quality and vintage ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones.The complex also has a dedicated post production suite, two ADR/Vocal booths, a large spacious car park and not to mention the interesting fact it's all inside an old MOD listening station.
